You would think that with so many cameras, and the commodity of digital, that images would be overdone. No less than the great photographer Adam Ansel addressed this when he stated “We must remember that a photograph can hold just as much as we put into it, and no one has ever approached the full possibilities of the medium.” Nor, I may add, with infinite variables, will they.
Within the natural world there exists spectacular and super spectacular images. What we see everyday, and what we see, for example, on postcards are, let’s say, spectacular images – beautiful vista’s, clouds, colorful fauna... Super spectacular comes about when what is already spectacular as a baseline is enhanced by special light and other conditions, usually at the ends of the day. What is so incredible about one of these images is that the variables are so infinite that the image may never be duplicated – even by the same photographer. To that degree, it is, in fact, art without equal.
Photography and the natural world has always been a passion. I hope you enjoy this site as I have creating it.
